What Next
-
June 3, 2010
I am at a crossroads trying to figure out what to record next. I know for a fact that one of my recordings is going to be of songs for solo guitar that I have written about the Zodiac signs. Then comes the what next part. I have Chamber music, multiple guitar pieces, a bunch of solo guitar pieces that are not related, orchestral pieces, an opera, and several songs. There will be a newsletter coming soon with some hiking in New Mexico articles along with news about the guitar both old and new. This month is also my birth month and I will be leaving on a 3 day 2 night camping trip on my birthday June 7th. I am also working on finding a gig in Las Vegas for the end of the month because we will be there to support "Wormhole" on the 26th and 27th of June.

Composing new music, working on performance dates and more
-
September 5, 2009
I am currently in the studio working on a new project of my classical guitar music. I am writing a song for each month of the zodiac and dedicating each song to a person I know who was born that month. I am going to compose each piece using techniques from the past going back 1200 years to the year 800. I am really excited and currently writing Capricorn whch is dedicated to my mother and being written in the style of JS Bach and more specifically I am writing a fugue. I have finished the exposition and will be sharing sections of it with you soon. Things are finally settling down with the gallery/performance space I opened in May with my wife so I am sitting down and doing some planning of a tour of the Southwest. This time it is going to happen as the planets have all lined up for me and I look forward to seeing you out there. I recently sold the last few copies of Gemini so it is only available now as a digital download. Make sure you get your copy of space travel. Sorry I was down for a few days tried to stay away from the computer and forgot to pay my bill. Oops. I'll talk again soon and thank you for your support.

Aaron helps other Acoustic Musicians
-
April 9, 2009
Aaron found a need for an acoustic venue in Albuquerque as a musician who searched for places to play. You see its nice to sit in the corner and have glasses clanging but its fantastic to be able to have peoples undivided attention. So Aaron opened the venue in Chroma Studios Gallery the art gallery he operates with his wife Paula Manning-Lewis. We had Vernon DeAguero in Feb. We will be hosting Matt Jones in March. The rest of the years schedule is as follows
April Travis Manning
May KImo
June Uncle Nick
July Peter White
August Jeremy Mayne
September Charmed
October Duende
November Aaron
Remember every once in awhile you need to give back as well.
